Position Summary

The Data Center & Network Administration Unit Manager is responsible to manage DC, DR; operation for monitoring, reporting, upgrading, and troubleshooting the information systems of SPN; to assist IT function for monitoring of network performance; to install, upgrade firmware, OS, configure VLAN, routing (Static & Dynamic) and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, network, web and APP security devices such as Next Generation Firewalls and Web Application Firewalls, proxy and LAN/WAN troubleshooting with protocols such as HSRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS. The role also involves expertise in SD-Wan technology, L3 and L7 load balancing method, IPsec, and SSL VPN to ensure a secure and efficient network infrastructure. Basic knowledge of Linux and Unix is also required. He designs, implements and manages technical security solutions; performs technical security risk assessments of technical systems and controls; leads cybersecurity projects; develops cybersecurity policies/guidelines/procedures, assesses and advises on compliance with NRS, PCI, HIPAA, CJIS security requirements and regulations; supports all staffs who involving in system to perform their work effectively.

 Duties and Responsibilities of Data Center & Network Administration Unit Manager

  • Manages day-to-day operation, hardware server, storage, installation, configuration operating system and application, and record the system downtime and equipment inventory
  • Develops hardware and storage, testing procedures to ensure operational reliability
  • Performs troubleshooting as required, as such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support users
  • Establishes, maintains and manages user accounts and super user (root) of Linux, AIX and UNIX
  • Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server systems
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of the critical host server computer and storage resources
  • Develops procedures to maintain server, storage and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse; procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications and coordinates project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts to the microfinance
  • Provides leadership in planning and joins the IT development project implementation and training sessions for IT support
  • Manages the data centers and servers including hardware servers, storage, operating system application software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system) and fire protection system, etc.
  • Provides escalated technical support that requires an on-site presence (network or PC equipment failure), including OS data backup recovery
  • Performs complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and re-installations in cooperation
  • Designs and implements short- and long-term strategic plan to make certain network capacity meet existing and future requirements
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use
  • Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation
  • Manages and ensures optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and so on
  • Tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports
  • Develops strategies for maintaining network infrastructure including the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Administration Domain Control
  • Directs and administrates a contingent of network analysis, technicality, where is necessary to conducts the performance reviews and corrective action including network infrastructure and ISP internet gateways
  • Be a part of IT development projects to serve the appropriate IT Infrastructure needs including RFPs preparation and the technical proposals
  • Leads on the installation/configuration and maintains of DNS, firewall and other security, traffic shaping, caching and filtering, installation and configuration of Cisco, Wireless (WFI), router and VPN
  • Trains technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired related hardware server, storage and software
  • Be an active learner and a good leader of a team

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum three years working experience in related field and troubleshooting Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet Firewall, Cisco Switch, ASA firewall, SAN, Smart Rack and Smart Cabinet
  • Hands-on technical experience building and supporting many of the following services and technologies:
    • Disaster recovery, Extensive experience leading infrastructure delivery teams inclusive of scope, scheduling, budgeting, and project planning in an environment with aggressive delivery goals
    • Expertise with vendor management, negotiation and oversight of vendor resources
    • Experience transforming teams through technology, organization, culture, process, and business change management
    • Experience working with relational Systems such as, Oracle Database Server, VMware (vSphere, ESXi, NSX), Linux, Microsoft, Storage Platforms, Cisco, Backup Technologies and Data Center facilities.
    • In-depth knowledge on configuration and troubleshooting skills on VPN tunnels, NAT, PAT, failover, backup and restore.
    • Installation, configuration, and management of common Cisco hardware and configurations Ability to perform moderately-complex network design and integration
    • Implementation, configuration and troubleshooting Network monitoring tool, ADVPN, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, with SD Wan technology
    • Written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills for both English and Myanmar.
    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, make sound decisions and logical judgement in emergency situations
    • Hands-on leader, visionary, and problem solver with a passion for excellence
